This recipe takes only minutes to cook and is packed full of flavour. The lettuce leaves are used to ‘wrap’ up the pork mixture.

Ingredients:
- 450g (1lb) Pork steaks, loin or leg cut into thin strips
- 2 x 5mlsp (2tsp) Chinese five spice
- 15mlsp (1tbsp) Vegetable oil
- 1 Clove garlic, crushed
- 1.5cm (½”) Root ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 4 x 15mlsp (4tbsp) Hoisin sauce
- 4 Spring onions, thinly sliced )
- 1 Carrot, peeled and cut into strips ) Use packet of prepared stir fry veg if short of time
- ¼ Cucumber, cut into strips )
- 8 Iceberg lettuce leaves
Preparation:
- Coat the pork strips in the five spice. Heat the oil in a large wok or deep frying pan.
- Add the meat and cook until browned.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
- Add the hoisin, spring onions and carrot strips, toss together for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the cucumber.
- To serve, place a spoonful of the mixture in the centre of a lettuce leaf, ‘wrap’ up and EAT!
