Day 1: Journey to Belgium

Sit back and relax as we journey to Belgium, arriving in the evening. 

Day 2: Antwerp

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and free time before our late morning included excursion to Antwerp, where you’ll spend the afternoon and part of the evening.

Day 3: Brussels and Bruges

Enjoy breakfast before departing for a split day between Brussels and Bruges. In our first stop of the picturesque city of Bruges you will be spoilt for choice! Explore the market square filled with stalls or enjoy the other festive activities and food options on offer. You will then head to Brussels, where the markets are filled with lots of shopping and more activities for you to enjoy. And with 240 wooden Christmas chalets you’ll be sure to find a great souvenir. A coach transfer will return you back to hotel for late evening.

Day 4: Ghent and home

After breakfast we depart the hotel for a short lunchtime visit to Ghent. A lovely city full of charm and architecture, where you can pick from the huge selection of delightful Belgian cafes and restaurants for your lunch. After lunch we will then commence our homeward journey.

Your hotel

You will stay for three nights at the Holiday Inn Brussels Airport, or similar. All hotels used have well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and dining room where continental breakfast is served.

Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp Christmas Markets

With almost 100 stalls and an impressive ice skating rink, Antwerp Christmas markets will get your short break off to a great start. It is transformed into a wonderful Christmas market each season offering an array of foods, drinks, crafts and decorations. The market stretches from Groenplaats through to the Market Square, via Suikerrui to Steenplein, The Groenplaats is adorned with festive Christmas lights with music playing in the background. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a glass of Glühwein, a real speciality of the Christmas market in Antwerp.

Bruges has a fairytale feel, with lots of cosy Christmas markets prettily situated in ornate squares alongside the picturesque canals. Their beautiful ice rinks perfectly nestled amongst the festive atmosphere of the market, it will be hard to resist enjoying a skate.
