Holiday Itinerary

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - Fly to Italy

Our holiday begins with the flights to Italy. On arrival you will be met for the transfer to our hotel at Lake Garda.

Days 2 - 7

During your stay, to help you see even more of Italy, there is a programme of fascinating optional excursions which you can book locally.

Lake Garda Tour (full day)

Explore by coach and ferry the contrasting scenery around the lake on this relaxing full day excursion, from the sunny plains of the southern shores to the spectacular mountainous region along the northern shoreline. We'll also visit other lakeside resorts. This really is the only way to see all of the Lake in one day.

Grand Dolomites Tour (full day)

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and invigorating air of the spectacular Dolomites, undoubtedly the most beautiful mountains in Italy. This is a day of endless delights as we drive through lush green valleys offering different views around every bend and see snow capped mountains, spiralling Alpine passes and picture-postcard villages with onion domed churches, wooden gabled houses and flower decked balconies.

Venice (full day)

One of the highlights of any holiday to this part of Italy is a visit to Venice - the Pearl of the Adriatic. You can see the Bridge of Sighs, the Grand Canal, visit a Venetian Glass Factory and of course St. Mark’s Square. There will be time for exploring the narrow streets bursting with fabulous shops, bartering at the Rialto Market or perhaps take a tour of the city by Gondola - the choice is yours. A ticket for the return cruise into the centre of Venice by launch is included in the cost of the excursion.

Verona - Full Day

An enchanting excursion to visit one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Made famous by Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', life in Verona centres around thePiazza Bra with its magnificent 2,000 year old Roman Arena. You also won't want to miss 'Juliet's Balcony', or browsing in the colourful shops and department stores on the Via Mazzini and the Piazza delle Erbe.

Day 8 -  Fly to the UK

Today, at the appropriate time, we transfer to the airport to take the return flight to the UK.

Transfers: Transfer times from the airport to your hotel are 1 to 2 hours.

Garda

Garda

Garda is a charming, picture postcard resort which gave the lake its name and which still retains the characteristics of its historic past. It lies in a favoured position on the eastern shores of the lake, where the sparkling waters broaden and where the scenery becomes more gentle, with olive groves and vineyards. There is a broad, traffic-free promenade beside the lake with attractive pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. The narrow streets and shady squares of the old town, once inhabited only by fishermen, are now full of colourful shops and boutiques. There is a weekly market and the excellent ferry service makes it easy to visit other resorts and villages around the lake too.
