Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - UK/Venice

You will depart on your scheduled flight to Venice today. On arrival you will board your ship, MS Michelangelo. Settle into your comfortable cabin before enjoying dinner and meet the crew at a Captain’s welcome cocktail reception on board.

Day 2 - Venice

This morning you’ll enjoy a cruise on the beautiful Venetian Lagoon, where the floating city of Venice is located. In the afternoon, why not choose to discover some of the nearby islands in the company of a Local Guide on an optional boat trip. First you’ll head to the island of Murano, where you’ll enjoy a demonstration at a local glasswork studio. Next stop on your boat tour is Burano, known for the lovely lace produced here. Return to the ship to enjoy an evening of excellent onboard entertainment, followed by an overnight stay in this unique city.

Day 3 - Venice

Get to know Venice on today’s optional guided tour of the city, taking in some of its many cultural and architectural highlights. Your tour will begin in St Mark’s Square, where you can discover its crowning glory, the stunning St Mark’s Cathedral, before continuing to the Doge’s Palace. You’ll also head to the top of the famous Golden Staircase and walk over the Bridge of Sighs. The afternoon will be free for you to explore more of Venice at your own pace if you wish. Alternatively, why not take a seat in a local café and watch the world go by.

Day 4 - Chioggia

Cruise across the magnificent Venetian Lagoon again today en route to Chioggia, arriving mid-morning. You will have free time to explore this charming coastal city, before perhaps joining a tour of Padua in the afternoon. On this optional tour you’ll explore the city on foot, taking in its medieval marketplaces and the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua – a fascinating Roman Catholic church that serves as a place of pilgrimage for people visiting from all over the world. Finally you’ll enjoy a memorable gala evening on board the ship – the perfect way to round off your wonderful river cruise.
