Day 3 Pisa (included); Guided
Sightseeing Tour (optional) See the famous Leaning Tower. Join an optional sightseeing tour and explore the tower’s immediate location, the Piazza dei Miracoli. |
Day 5 Sorrento and Coastal
Villages (included) A day of exploring, as we drive through hills, valleys, mountains and terraces lined with citrus trees, olive groves and vineyards, all descending towards the sea. |
Day 7 Pompeii and Vesuvius
(optional) The city was destroyed by the erupting Vesuvius in 79AD, but amazing relics of its past are preserved in the ruins. We then travel up Mount Vesuvius to 3000ft, where you have the option to continue on foot to the crater (please note that there is a local charge of approximately €6.50 to visit the crater). |
Day 8 Isle of Capri (optional) We sail across the Bay of Naples, to spend a day on this idyllic island, with spectacular scenery and views of Mount Vesuvius from the cliff-tops. |
Day 9 Amalfi Drive (optional) We drive along the most spectacular road in Europe. and visit the lovely cathedral and the hillside town of Ravello – 350 metres above sea level. |
Day 11 Rome (included); Guided
Sightseeing Tour (optional) Explore the palaces and piazzas of the former Roman Empire’s capital, including the Vatican, St. Peter’s Cathedral, the Sistine Chapel and the Piazza Venezia. There’s an optional guided sightseeing tour by coach and on foot that also covers the Trevi Fountain and Rome’s greatest amphitheatre – the Colosseum. |
Day 12 Vipiteno (included) Vipiteno, in the Italian Alps is rich in tradition and natural beauty, and today is a modern shopping haven. |

You’ll have sole use of your own room
for the duration of your stay. You’ll stay
for seven nights at the 3-star Hotel
Mary in Vico Equense on the Sorrento
Peninsula. The hotel’s owner, Enzo,
will be pleased to show you around his
pleasant, small town. There’s a lift,
outdoor swimming pool with
sunbathing terrace, restaurant, bar,
small lounge and fantastic views out
over the Mediterranean. The local
train provides easy access to/from
Sorrento. All bedrooms have a ceiling
fan, telephone, T.V. and balcony.
In the Lake Como area, Montecatini
and Chianciano, you will stay in
minimum 3-star hotels. You will also
stay at a 3-star hotel in Austria.
