Day 1:
We head to Hull for our overnight ferry to the continent, enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.
Day 2:
We continue to France where we have a dinner, bed and breakfast stop.
Day 3:
We proceed into Spain and to Santa Susanna where we check in to the Hotel Dwo Checkin Sirius for our twelve night stay.
Day 4 & 5
Two free days to relax by the pool or explore Santa Susanna.
Day 6:
Today we travel to Figueres. You might like to visit the interesting Salvador Dali Foundation with its collections of Dali’s work including drawings, sculptures, jewellery, photography and paintings. Later we continue to historic Besalu – a rather grand old town regarded as one of the most beautiful in Spain and accessed via a magnificent eleventh century fortified bridge.
Day 7:
Another day at leisure. Perhaps visit the ancient and well-preserved watchtowers, browse the craft stalls on the promenade or watch flamenco dancers in a traditional bar.views.
Day 8:
Enjoy a day in wonderful Tossa de Mar where the seafront is dominated by a medieval old town with ramparts towering over the beach. Explore the narrow streets or people watch over a glass of wine in a pavement cafe.
Day 9:
Another free day to relax by the pool or at the beach.
Day 10:
A holiday highlight as we head to beautiful Barcelona, home to Gaudi’s awesome La Sagrada Familia cathedral. This fine city features a Gothic Quarter with snaking streets, haunting architecture and atmospheric nooks and crannies. Don’t miss Las Ramblas, the city’s vibrant boulevard with street musicians, pavement cafes, flower stalls and a buzzing atmosphere.
Day 11:
We venture off the beaten track to visit Cadaques, a picturesque fishing village protected from mass tourism by a winding road through the mountains of Cap de Creus. The settlement has a bohemian-chic feel to it and has attracted notable visitors as diverse as Picasso and Mick Jagger.
Day 12:
Girona nestles on the banks of the River Onyar and is renowned for its ancient architecture, especially it’s walled Old Quarter and the remains of a Roman fortress. Take a stroll along the medieval walls that are flanked by landscaped gardens and feature watchtowers offering glorious views.
Day 13 & 14:
Two free days to top up your tan or shop for souvenirs
Day 15:
Adios to Santa Susanna as we head to our dinner, bed and breakfast stop in France.
Day 16:
We travel to board our ferry back to Hull, with dinner, entertainment and breakfast onboard.
Day 17:
We make our way home.
