Day 2: Boston
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of this historic city, dubbed the ‘Cradle of Liberty’ for its central role in the War of American Independence. Your tour encompasses the key landmarks associated with the American Revolution. Later, board a harbour cruise to see the USS Constitution and Bunker Hill
Day 3: Boston - Quebec City
Journey through New Hampshire, passing the state’s Capital Dome at Concord and the scenic granite peaks of Franconia Notch State Park in the White mountains en route to Vermont.
Continue to the Canadian border and enter the French-Canadian province of Quebec. (B)
Day 4: Quebec City
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of UNESCO-protected Old Quebec. Tonight visit Montmorency Falls before dinner in Ile d’Orleans at a fine restaurant in a restored 17th century flour mill. (B,D)
Day 5: Quebec City - Montreal
Drive to Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, to see its splendid Gothic Notre Dame Basilica
and Old Seminary of St Sulpice and enjoy the panoramic views from Mount Royal. (B)
Day 6: Montreal - Ottawa
Explore Canada’s vibrant capital on a guided tour. (B,D)
Day 7: Ottawa - Toronto
Visit the Parliament of Canada at the top of Parliament Hill overlooking the Ottawa river. (B)
Day 8: Toronto
Enjoy a tour of Canada’s largest city, including its city halls, University and Chinatown district. This evening, why not join an optional outing to the CN Tower for dinner at the top of this 1,815ft high tower? (B)
Day 9: Toronto - Niagara Falls
Enjoy the scenery as you drive around the ‘Golden Horseshoe’ of Lake Ontario en route to Niagara
Falls. Board a sightseeing cruise and get up close to the thundering waters. (B)
Note: In the event of bad weather, the Niagara Cruise will be substituted for the Behind the Falls walk.
Day 10: Niagara Falls - Lancaster
Get another glimpse of the Falls as you cross the Rainbow Bridge into New York State. Drive through the rolling Appalachian mountains into Pennsylvania and on to Lancaster, home of the Amish communities. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Amish dinner. (B,D)
Day 11: Lancaster - Washington DC
Leave for Washington DC, the US capital. This evening, perhaps enjoy an optional dinner at one of the city’s acclaimed restaurants before an ‘illumination tour’ of its floodlit landmarks. (B)
Day 12: Washinton DC
Enjoy a half-day tour of this graceful city, including photo stops at the White House and Capitol Hill. Afterwards, explore Washington’s other gems at leisure, perhaps visiting the National Mall and one of the many Smithsonian Museums. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Director. Day 13: Washington DC
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK.
