Day 1

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then travel to northern France for an overnight stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, we commence our journey south into Italy and to Lake Como for a four-night stay on a 'Silver' All-Inclusive basis. B,D 

Day 3 – Lake Maggiore and Lake Cruise

Today on our included excursion we first visit Arona, where you will have time at leisure to enjoy the grand architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere. We continue to Lake Maggiore and the resort of Baveno.

Here we take a short boat ride on the lake which takes us to the opulent resort town of Stresa. We sail past the beautiful Borromean Islands, which lie at the centre of the lake and are fine examples of natural beauty enhanced by landscaped gardens and parks. B,L,D

Day 4 – Milan  

Today, our included excursion takes us to Milan, where you can spend the day at leisure exploring all the city has to offer. Milan shares its title as one of the Fashion Capitals of the world with London, New York, Paris and Tokyo.

To get the most from your visit, why not join our optional guided walking tour? Accompanied by our local guide we see sights such as the Castello Sforzesco and the magnificent Gothic-style Duomo, the seat of the Archbishop of Milan. We also see the Galleria, a covered double arcade connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. Finally we conclude our tour with a short visit to La Scala Theatre, one of the world’s most famous opera houses (entrance included). (B,L,D)

Day 5 – Free time or St. Moritz and Bernina Region Railway

Today, for those passengers who have pre-booked, our optional excursion takes you to the world-famous resort of St. Moritz. Sporting life has always been an important part of St. Moritz, and over 100 years ago the first British visitors used to stage Toboggan races in the streets.

There will be a short amount of time for you to explore before we board the Bernina Region Railway and cross one of the highest railroad lines in the Alps. As we approach the Swiss / Italian border, we travel over the Brusio spiral viaduct, an amazing feat of engineering that allows the train to gradually descend 20 metres in a relatively short distance.

We arrive in Tirano, a quaint Italian town, where we spend a short amount of free time before returning to our hotel. B,L,D

Day 6

We leave our hotel and commence our journey north into France and to our hotel for an overnight stay. B

Day 7

Return home.B

Day 1

Day 2

We leave our hotel early this morning and commence our journey south through France and Switzerland. We cross into Italy and continue to our hotel in the beautiful lakeside resort of Cadenabbia where we stay for six nights on a 'Silver' All-Inclusive basis. B,D 

Day 3 – Lake Maggiore and Lake Cruise

Our included excursion takes us to Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands. The islands lie at the centre of the lake and are fine examples of natural beauty enhanced by landscaped gardens and parks.

We travel first to the town of Baveno from where we take a short boat ride on the lake and sail past the famous Borromean Islands.

We return to shore in the opulent resort town of Stresa where you will have time at leisure to explore the grand architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere. B,L,D

Day 4 – Free time or Como Market and Lugano  

We travel to the centre of Como town on our optional excursion. Como produces 80% of Europe’s silk and there are many boutiques in the centre selling high quality silk merchandise. There is also the regular market, which takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We continue over the border into Switzerland and to the beautiful town of Lugano. (B,L,D)

Day 5 – Free time or St. Moritz and Bernina Region Railway

Day 6 – Milan

A fantastic included excursion to beautiful Milan where there will be free time for you to explore the city. To introduce you to the sights, why not join our optional sightseeing tour where you will discover the historical and artistic heart of Milan? Accompanied by our local guide we start by coach on a panoramic tour passing by the Monumental Cemetery, Porta Garibaldi and Corso di Porta Venezia. We stop at Via Verdi where we then continue on foot to La Scala Theatre, one of the world’s most famous opera houses (entrance included). B,L,D

Day 7 – Free Time or Lake Como Cruise

Why not join our optional half-day excursion with a cruise on Lake Como? This excursion will show you two of the loveliest villas and gardens of the area, Villa del Balbianello and Villa Carlotta. We start by boarding the boat in Cadenabbia and sail across the lake to Villa del Balbianello (entrance to the gardens included). After a visit to its beautiful gardens we continue to the resort of Bellagio where there will be free time for you to explore the town. We return, by boat, to Cadenabbia where we visit the beautiful Villa Carlotta in neighbouring Tremezzo (entrance included). After the visit, take a stroll along the lakeside back to the hotel. * Please note that this excursion is not suitable for passengers with mobility issues due to the degree of walking involved and the amount of steps at Villa Balbianello. B,L,D 

Day 8

Travel to northern France for an overnight stay.B

Day 9

Return home.B

Lake Como

Your Hotels

You will stay for four or six nights, 'Silver' All-Inclusive at the 3-star Hotel Britannia Excelsior in Cadenabbia. The 3-star Hotel Britannia Excelsior in Cadenabbia includes 'Silver' All-Inclusive package for all guests. Enjoying a splendid lakeside setting with superb views across the lake to Bellagio, the hotel has a restaurant featuring buffet meals, a large lounge area, bar, terrace and lifts.

Across the road, lies its own lakeside lido area with outdoor pool (open subject to season) and bar, where a limited selection of drinks are available. In addition, the Britannia Excelsior has an excellent floating infinity pool. This large and lively hotel is managed and owned by the Whieldon family, who are on hand to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The hotel also includes a *free daily transfer by boat to the popular resort of Bellagio on the opposite side of the lake (June to September and subject to weather conditions). 

Room upgrades and upgrades to 'Gold' or 'Platinum' all-inclusive are available – call for details.
