Holiday Itinerary Christmas in North Devon
23 December
After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.
Christmas Eve – Barnstaple
We spend half a day in Barnstaple, the capital of north Devon. Thought to be the oldest borough in England, the town is a wonderful mix of old and new and provides plenty of shopping opportunities from independent boutiques to high street names. After a light lunch back at the hotel, there’s an afternoon session of bingo accompanied by tea and biscuits. This evening after dinner, we enjoy some live entertainment with optional fancy dress.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is a lovely day of leisure and celebration, with our hotel providing a hearty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. After the Queen’s Speech, join in with the afternoon tea dance with Christmas cake. In the evening, we enjoy the chef’s gala buffet followed by music and dancing.
Boxing Day – Ilfracombe
A half day on the coast beckons as we visit Ilfracombe, home to stunning beaches, a seafront promenade and the largest harbour on the north Devon coast. We return to the hotel for a light lunch before enjoying a Christmas quiz with coffee and mince pies in the afternoon.
27 December
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.

The Durrant House Hotel is situated near the historical port of Bideford with views over the Torridge estuary. All the en-suite rooms offer TV and tea and coffee-making facilities while other hotel features include a spa (treatments at an extra cost), small gym, bar and restaurant.
