While by the river, perhaps visit the Mala Strana (the Little Quarter), home to the Baroque church of St. Nicholas and the Renaissance gardens. Veer off the tourist trail to explore the narrow-cobbled streets that surround the Old Town Square and discover hidden courtyards, medieval chapels and delightful cafes. Take in a performance at the Spanish Riding School - one of the oldest riding schools in the world and home to the famous Lipizzaner horses.
