Spey Valley & The Cairngorms - Excursions
Braemar & Ballater
This majestic outing takes us to Braemar, an ancient village that is home to the famous Braemar Gathering. We continue to picture postcard Ballater, the nearest village to Balmoral Castle and where you’ll find “By Royal Appointment” signs and speciality shops.
Newtonmore & Aviemore
Perhaps learn how our Highland ancestors lived at Newtonmore’s Highland Folk Museum, view interesting relics at the Clan MacPherson museum or pick up a heritage trail leaflet from a local shop or café and follow the route through the village. Afterwards, we spend time in popular Aviemore.
Nairn & Inverness
We begin today’s sightseeing in the ancient fishing port and market town of Nairn, home to a sandy beach and promenade. We continue to Inverness where you’ll find a grand castle, historic old town and a fine cathedral.
