Day 1 - UK to Venice
Fly to Venice today, where on arrival we'll transfer you to your ship. After you've had time to settle into your cabin, meet the captain, crew and your fellow travellers over a cocktail before dinner. Your ship moors in Venice overnight, so after dinner you might like to head ashore to enjoy a stroll around this incredible floating city.
Day 2 - Padua and Polesella
Take in the splendid scenery this morning as we begin our cruise, sailing through the Lagoon and entering the River Po.
Our first port of call is Chioggia, from where you can join an optional excursion to the old university town of Padua. Soak up the sights on a tour of the city, which is teeming with history.
We'll rejoin the ship in Taglio di Po, then sail to Polesella, where the ship moors overnight.
Day 3 - Ferrara, Verona and Taglio Di Po
Our day begins in Ferrara, a striking Renaissance city, where we'll enjoy an included walking tour to admire its well-preserved architecture.
We'll head back to the ship for lunch, and our next port of call is the historic city of Verona, where depending on your chosen optional excursions you'll either explore on foot or by bicycle. Our bicycle tour takes in the splendour of the Guisti Gardens, while our walking tour passes Juliet's Balcony. William Shakespeare chose Verona as the setting for one of his most famous tragedies, 'Romeo and Juliet', and this house, linked to the play, is one of the city's best-loved attractions.
Back on board the ship, spend the afternoon at leisure as we cruise to Taglio di Po.
Day 4 - Chioggia and Venice
Spend a leisurely morning on board the ship before we arrive back at Chioggia, an island town at the southern end of the Venetian Lagoon. Step ashore to stretch your legs then return to the ship for lunch as we sail to Venice.
On arrival, join your chosen optional tour in this revered city. Our walking tour includes highlights such as the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark's Square and entry into St Mark's Basilica. If you've chosen our tour of 'Casanova's Venice', you'll visit the sites linked to this adventurer, author and famous womaniser.
Day 5 - Venice, Murano and Burano
An included excursion this morning takes you to two of the most famous islands in the Venetian Lagoon, Murano, known for its hand-blown glass creations, and Burano, famed for its lace.
In the afternoon we will return to Venice where you can explore at your own pace, or why not treat yourself to a gondola ride on the iconic Grand Canal.
Back board the ship, get together with your travelling companions for a farewell gala dinner.
Day 6 - Venice/UK
We'll disembark the ship today and transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
