Day 1

Fly to Athens, where you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for three nights. D

Day 2 – Athens

Panoramic tour of Athens with a guided tour of the Acropolis. Included lunch at a typical restaurant. Afternoon optional excursion along the coastal road of Attica to Cape Sounion where you can visit the Temple of Poseidon. Enjoy an evening walking tour of the Plaka area and dinner in a local taverna. B,L

Day 3 – Athens

Day at leisure or you may wish to join our optional Saronic Islands cruise for stunning views over the Greek mainland. B

Day 4 – Mycenae – Epidaurus – Nafplio

We head to the Peloponnese to explore the Argolic Plain. Crossing the incredible Corinth Canal, with a short photo stop, we reach historic Mycenae and later the Theatre of Epidaurus, the most famous and best preserved of all the ancient theatres in Greece. Continue to Nafplion then to the little town of Olympia for an overnight stay. B,D

Day 5 – Olympia

We spend the morning exploring ancient Olympia, an ancient site dedicated to the worship of Zeus. In the afternoon, we travel to the picturesque town of Nafpaktos where we stay for four nights. B,D

Day 6 – Trizonia

Today we offer an optional full-day excursion to the island of Trizonia, the only inhabited island of the Corinthian Gulf. B,D

Day 7 – Nafpaktos - Messolongi

We will explore the little town of Nafpaktos, with its tiny and picturesque fortified port. A short drive will bring us to the castle of Nafpaktos, dominating the little town, with amazing views of the town, the gulf of Corinth and the unique bridge of Rio-Antirio. We will then head to Messolonghi, a town with great historical significance for Greece. Messolongi is built on the shore of a lagoon, which is actually connected with the Ionian sea. Return drive to our hotel in the afternoon. In the evening, we will all gather together for an exciting cooking class of authentic Greek  recipes and enjoy our creations. B,L

Day 8 – Diakofto

Join our truly fascinating optional excursion to the village of Diakofto, where we will pick up the historical rack and pinion train for an unforgettable ride to Kalavrita through rocky mountains and rushing water, then by coach to the monastery of Mega Spileo, perched on a cliff with fantastic views of the valley. B,D

Day 9 – Delphi

We drive to Delphi. Admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians and also visit the Museum of Delphi. We continue to the nearby picturesque village of Arachova for a short stop before travelling back to Athens for our final night. B,D

Day 10

Transfer and return flight home. B
