Holiday Itinerary
Sunday
Meet your Tour Manager at London Euston Station for our lunchtime departure on the West Coast Line to Glasgow. On arrival we transfer by coach to Crianlarich and the Crianlarich Hotel for one night.
Monday
By coach we make our way to Fort William to enjoy a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train. This service is regarded as one of the great rail journeys of the world and an unforgettable experience. You can
look forward to ‘steaming’ past the much photographed viaduct at Glenfinnan, the beautiful scenery that surrounds Loch Shiel and Loch Morar as well as enjoying a fabulous Sea Life Cruise to discover the
fascinating variety of wildlife found off the West coast of Scotland. By coach we make our way through 'Monarch of the Glen Country' to arrive in the Spey Valley for three nights at the Craiglynne Hotel in
Grantown-on-Spey for three nights.
Tuesday
Taking a local coach we discover Whisky Country and include a tour and tasting amid the beautiful Spey Valley before reaching Elgin where we visit the only existing mill in Scotland that continues to transform
raw cashmere to the finished article. We return via the ancient fishing port of Nairn.
Wednesday
We join our coach for a long, but rewarding day as we pass by Inverness and onward across the scenic Highlands to the magical Isle of Skye. Crossing the Skye Road Bridge with fabulous views we reach
Broadford. After an included light lunch we pause to view the dramatic Eilean Donan Castle, backdrop to many films, before returning along the shores of Loch Ness.
Thursday
Through Speyside on our local coach to reach Blair Castle this morning, home of the Duke of Atholl and the only castle with its own private army! Discover tales of Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie
before heading to the popular tourist centre of Pitlochry. We continue on to the King Robert Hotel in Stirling for a two night stay.
Friday
Our coach takes us to the Royal capital of Scotland, Edinburgh to enjoy free time this morning before we head to the shores of the Firth of Forth to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia – used by the Royal Family
for 40 years. We return over the iconic Forth Road Bridge for our final night, including a Scottish night and entertainment at our hotel.
Saturday
We transfer by coach to Glasgow for our return journey, arriving at London Euston late afternoon.
