Holiday Itinerary - Canadian Rockies

Day 1: UK to Vancouver

Day 2: Vancouver

Sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights. Later, perhaps take a water taxi to lively Granville Island with its outdoor markets, street musicians and waterfront cafés

Day 3: Vancouver - Kelowna 

Travel to the resort city of Kelowna. Sample the local wines on the winery tour this afternoon.

Day 4: Kelowna - Rogers Pass - Banff National Park

Head towards Glacier National Park and stop for photos at the 4,379ft high Rogers Pass. Enter Yoho National Park and climb the 5,421ft high Kicking Horse Pass before reaching Banff National Park, gateway to the majestic Canadian Rockies.

Day 5: Banff National Park

Enjoy one of Canada’s favourite year-round resorts with many summer outdoor activities. Perhaps try the optional helicopter ride over the Canadian Rockies?

Day 6: Banff National Park - Columbia Icefield - Jasper National Park

Visit Lake Louise, whose cold turquoise waters are a perfect natural mirror reflecting the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Cross two mountain passes en route to the Columbia Icefield to ride the Ice Explorer on ice that is 1,200ft thick.

Day 7: Jasper National Park

A full day at leisure to explore Jasper. Why not join an optional excursion to Maligne Lake and Spirit Island.

Day 8: Jasper National Park - Mount Robson - Sun Peaks

Follow the Fraser river to the base of spectacular Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, peaking at 12,972ft. Continue following Yellowhead Highway along the mighty Thompson river, enjoying spectacular vistas of the Monashee Mountains en route to Sun Peaks.

Day 9: Sun Peaks - Lillooet - Whistler

Trace the once treacherous Cariboo Wagon Trail via Lillooet to Whistler.

Day 10: Whistler

Enjoy time at leisure exploring the beautiful resort of Whistler, nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain

Day 11: Whistler - Victoria

Set sail across the Strait of Georgia through the spectacular Gulf Islands to Victoria. Enjoy a city sightseeing tour that includes Marine Drive, Bastion Square and Thunderbird Park with its collection of totem poles. After, visit world famous Butchart Gardens, rated among the most beautiful gardens in the world. 

Day 12: Victoria.

Today is at leisure to discover some of the attractions of this splendid city.

Day 13: Victoria - Vancouver - UK.

Board a ferry for the scenic crossing to Vancouver. Transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK.

Day 14: Flight lands in the UK.
