From a morning pick up in your local area we travel by coach to our hotel.
After a leisurely morning, we leave the hotel around midday and head to Swanage. A charming seaside town, Swanage offers a delightful mix of natural beauty and traditional British seaside attractions. The town also boasts a rich history, with landmarks such as the Swanage Pier and the Swanage Railway, providing a glimpse into its past.
We travel to the idyllic New Forest, England’s smallest National Park, famous for its tranquil ambience and free-roaming ponies. We visit the Forest’s capital of Lyndhurst and the coastal town of Lymington, with its cobbled streets and attractive quayside.
Our first included excursion takes us to the charming county town of Dorchester, where we have time to browse the stalls of its beloved market. With a range of products on offer from 200 traders, it’s perfect for bargain hunting!
We continue to wander down the memory lane of seaside resorts with a visit to Weymouth, crowned with a lively harbour and fine Georgian seafront. The resort boasts a long sandy beach peppered with candy-stripe kiosks, plus fantastic views across the bay taking in the World Heritage Jurassic coastline.
Our optional excursion takes us to Salisbury. This stunning city has a rich heritage, with hundreds of buildings listed for their historical merit including the Gothic cathedral, which boasts the tallest spire in Britain. Explore the patchwork of streets which boast a jumble of architectural styles, ranging from medieval walls and half-timbered Tudor townhouses to Georgian mansions and Victorian villas.
Enjoy time at the hotel or a relaxing day exploring the local sights.
