Thurso, John O'Groats & Orkney - Excursions
Day Trip to Orkney
We board our ferry for the forty minute crossing to Orkney, where a local coach will take you on an island tour. First stop is the island capital of Kirkwall, home to a twelfth century cathedral and picturesque harbour. We continue to beautiful Stromness where you can perhaps treat
yourself to lunch. Later, we visit Skara Brae - a Stone Age settlement. Final stops are at the Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and the Italian Chapel.
John O’Groats & Pentland Firth Wildlife Cruise
We head to John O’Groats - don’t forget to snap a photo at the famous signpost! We enjoy a wildlife cruise through the Pentland Firth. Watch out for grey seals, dolphins, minke whales and porpoises as well as seabirds such as puffins, kittiwakes, guillemots and razorbills.
Wick
A morning visit to the former Viking settlement of Wick, home to an interesting heritage centre.
