Itinerary

Included excursions

Dartington Crystal & Appledore (full day)

Our excursion takes us to the renowned Dartington Crystal factory, where we have the perfect opportunity to watch a Master Engraver create magical works of craftsmanship and learn about the 50-year history of Dartington’s products, spanning over 50 years. Afterwards, we spend time in the little fishing village of Appledore, with its winding streets and pretty pastel-coloured houses. Appledore claims to have the best ice cream in Britain, so be sure to try one!

Lynton and Lynmouth (half day)

We travel to Lynton on the north Devon coast, in the heart of Exmoor National Park, famous for its dramatic natural beauty and untouched landscape in every direction. Known as England’s ‘Little Switzerland’, this pretty Victorian town offers a charming selection of tea rooms and cafes. Next, we travel a short distance to the picturesque harbour village of Lynmouth. Home to some lovely shops, we have time to explore, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and admire the rows of quaint fishing cottages clustered around the picturesque harbour.

Dunster and Minehead (half day)

Our first stop is the idyllic village of Dunster, with its charming streets, picture postcard-perfect cottages, country pubs and a castle to boot! With around 200 listed buildings, Dunster is a hidden historic gem and a destination you’ll want to revisit time and again. Next, we travel to a seaside resort that needs little introduction; Minehead has been entertaining visitors for years and remains one of the most popular seaside destinations. There is plenty to see including the long, sandy beach, fishing quarter, and the bustling town centre with its shops, tea rooms and restaurants.
