Day 1 - UK to Athens
Today you will fly to Athens. On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing, or you may wish to explore the ancient Plaka district below the Acropolis to get your bearings. Get to know your fellow travellers over a welcome meal this evening. D
Day 2 - Athens
After breakfast, we will enjoy a tour of Athens to discover more about important ancient Greek civilisation with visits to the renowned hilltop citadel, Acropolis and its fascinating museum. The rest of the day has been left free for you to discover the city at your own pace. B
Day 3 - Athens
Today you have a free day in Athens or you may wish to join an optional day trip to the ancient city of Delphi - once thought to be the Centre of the Universe. It's the site of the 4th-century-B.C. Temple of Apollo, once home to a legendary oracle, and today it's an extensive archaeological site. Once back in Athens, you have the evening free to enjoy the city sights, and sample some wonderful Greek cuisine. B,D
Day 4 - Mykonos
Today, another exciting chapter of your Greek adventure starts. We will travel to the port to board the Celestyal Discovery. This afternoon you will dock in the magical sun-kissed island of Mykonos. Affectionately known as the 'Islands of the Winds', Mykonos is home to the 16th-century windmills that have become iconic picture postcard landmarks. Spend the day exploring this beautiful island and its vibrant atmosphere. B
Day 5 - Kusadasi and Patmos
This morning we will approach the Turkish coast, where the charming port of Kusadasi awaits. There is an optional guided tour available to the ancient city of Ephesus which is bookable through the cruise company. Alternatively, why not take some time to enjoy the seafront or the city's famous bazaar. This afternoon, we will move on to Patmos - famed for being the location where the Book of Revelations was written, by the legendary St John. There is the opportunity to take a shore excursion to visit the Cave of the Apocalypse, where St John lived. B,L,D
Day 6 - Rhodes
The stunning landscape of Greece's largest Dodecanese Island, Rhodes, seamlessly combines dramatic ancient and historic sites, with charming modern hillside villages. Here you will explore the cobbled alleyways and narrow arteries in the Old Town on an included walking tour, where opulent architecture awaits. This walking tour is operated by the cruise company. B
Day 7 - Heraklion and Santorini
As we pull into Heraklion, look out for the imposing 16th-century walls of Koules Fortress. Revel in the calm of the stunning waterfront or enjoy a whirlwind adventure around the Cretan countryside. Delve into Crete's past with a spellbinding tour of the Palace of Knossos, and listen to tales of intrigue and more in the Knossos museum. Was the Minotaur half-man or myth You're about to find out! Following an afternoon sailing across the Sea of Crete, you will arrive in the spectacular caldera of an ancient volcano - which now forms the picture-postcard views of the island of Santorini and its iconic whitewashed houses and blue-domed churches that you will see on an included excursion to Oia. For your final evening, why not grab a drink in a cafe and watch the sun set over the caldera - the perfect finish to your island adventures! B,L,D
Day 8 - UK
Today you will say goodbye to your fellow travellers as you disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for the journey back to the UK. B
