Latin Quarter Food Trail
Partake in a gastronomical journey, exploring the Latin influence on Goan cuisine, through a series of signature preparations, served at heritage establishments, heritage homes and contemporary cafés. On this excursion, we enjoy a vivid introduction to the largest Latin Quarter in Asia and taste some of the most delicious Portuguese-influenced savouries.
Experience the warmth of the hosts, with a meal hosted at a beautiful heritage home in Fontainhas and sip on some traditional Goan beverages paired with a variety of appetizers.
Old Goa Heritage Walk and Divar Island
On our heritage trail, discover the history of Old Goa and the multicultural heritage of Divar Island. Explore the former Portuguese capital of Velha Goa on a heritage walk and learn more about the fascinating history of Goa’s former Portuguese empire.
We visit some of the best churches in Asia, a Hindu temple site and a Baroque-style church and immerse ourselves in tales of various Catholic orders and revered saints before we enjoy a sumptuous Goan lunch at a heritage home or riverside resort.
Later, we journey to picturesque Divar Island. Known for its lush greenery, traditional Goan houses and tranquil environment, Divar Island offers a serene escape.
Villages and Legends of South Goa
Discover the charm and culture of South Goa’s picturesque villages, including Cansaulim, Cuelim, Arossim and Velsao, on this enriching cultural journey. We begin with a grand introduction at the historic St. Thomas Church, followed by a serene stop at the stunning Velsao Beach, where we learn about the traditional fishing practices that sustain the local community. An elegant high tea awaits at an ancestral house, the perfect chance to soak up the ambience of Goan heritage, before concluding with a visit to the iconic Three Kings Chapel, a fascinating village landmark steeped in history and legend with wonderful views over Goa's lush landscapes.
Margao and Chandor: a cultural and culinary escape
Delve into the heart of South Goa on this immersive full-day tour, blending rich history, vibrant culture and authentic cuisine. We start with a flavourful culinary trail through Margao’s historic Comba neighbourhood, savouring traditional Goan dishes, learning the art of local baking and weaving through its vibrant markets. After lunch, we make our way to the pretty village of Chandor, where tales of ancient dynasties, captivating legends such as the tale of the Queen's Curse and colonial-era grandeur come to life. We explore 11th-century temple ruins that tell the story of Goa’s pre-Portuguese era and visit both a majestic 500-year-old heritage home and a stately Indo-Portuguese mansion to glimpse the architectural brilliance of the past, rounding off the day with an unforgettable cultural and culinary experience. Perfect for history enthusiasts and food lovers alike!
