Day 1 – Ferry to Calais

Day 2 – Cruising the Canals of Mons and Louvain-la-Neuve Christmas Market
Cruising the Canals of Mons is a delightful way to explore the scenic waterways of this charming Belgian city. The canals, which have played a significant role in the region's history, offer a unique perspective on Mons' picturesque landscapes and architectural heritage. As you glide along the water, you'll pass by historic buildings and lush parks, while enjoying the tranquil ambience.
Later, we stop over to explore the Louvain-la-Neuve Christmas market, beautifully decorated with lights and snowy trees. Spread over two main squares, this market is considered one of the best in Europe. Chalets offer handmade crafts, waffles and other Belgian treats as well as entertainment to add to the wonderful festive atmosphere.
Day 3 – Cruising the Brussels Canal and Leuven Christmas Market
We enjoy a full day cruising through the beautiful countryside along the Brussels Canal and gaining a unique perspective on the city. The canal, which connects Brussels to the Scheldt River, provides a serene and picturesque route through urban and natural landscapes. As you glide along the water, you'll pass by modern architecture, historical buildings, and green spaces, all while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the canal.
The Leuven Christmas Market is held annually in the heart of the historic city. Take the opportunity to explore the beautifully decorated wooden chalets offering a wide array of festive goods, including handmade crafts, unique gifts, and delicious local delicacies.
Day 4 – Christmas Market of Brussels
We enjoy free time this morning, before heading to the Christmas Market in Brussels. Known as "Winter Wonders," this market is one of the most enchanting in Europe, transforming the city into a winter wonderland. Explore over 200 wooden chalets offering a variety of gifts and traditional cuisine. The market also features an ice-skating rink and a magical light and sound show at the Grand Place.
Day 5 – Cruising The Ronquieries Plane and Mons Christmas Market
Cruising The Ronquieries Plane is a unique experience that allows visitors to explore one of Belgium's most fascinating engineering marvels. This impressive structure, built in 1968, elevates boats over a height difference of 67.73 meters (222 feet) using two massive caissons and, during the cruise, we witness the operation of this incredible piece of machinery up close. The surrounding area offers beautiful scenery, with lush greenery and serene waters against a picturesque backdrop.
Located in the heart of the city, the Mons Christmas Market greets you with a warm ambience, twinkling lights, and the sounds of Christmas carols. You’ll find a variety of artisanal goods, from handmade crafts to gourmet foods.
Day 6 – Dunkirk and journey home
We make our way home, stopping en route in Dunkirk, for some time at leisure before heading to Calais for the ferry home.
