After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.
Christmas Eve – York
We visit historic York, where we can wander the narrow cobbled streets with their distinctive overhanging buildings or spend some time in the city’s beautiful Norman Minster, which boasts some of the finest stained-glass windows in the world. Alternatively, why not take a stroll around the city walls that have stood since Roman times and wrap around the city for 2.5 miles or visit the famous Betty’s tea rooms?
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is a day of laidback leisure in Scarborough, where our hotel provides a hearty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by Christmas cake, tea and coffee. A light buffet dinner is served in the evening.
Boxing Day - Optional excursion Whitby (£12pp)
Take the time to explore the enchanting coastal town of Whitby, where sea breezes, twinkling lights and a touch of festive sparkle fill the air. Steeped in maritime heritage and Gothic legend, this charming harbour town inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula and is famed for its beautiful jet jewellery, once adored by Victorian society. Wander the harbour, browse the Christmas stalls and cosy cafés or climb the famous steps to the abbey ruins for sweeping winter views over the North Sea – a magical taste of Yorkshire’s coast at Christmastime..

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
