Your Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - UK to Cape Town

Today, make your own way to the airport or be collected by our Private Chauffeur (if you've pre-booked) for your overnight flight to Cape Town.

Day 2 - Cape Town

On arrival in Cape Town we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can get to know your travelling companions over dinner this evening. D

Day 3 - Cape Peninsula

A day exploring the Cape Peninsula begins at Hout Bay and continues along Chapman's Peak – a spectacular coastal drive – as we make our way to Cape Nature Reserve and Cape Point, at the very tip of the peninsula.

During our return journey to Cape Town we stop at Boulders Beach, where you can see the penguins that make their home here. We'll then continue through Simon's Town, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg, finally reaching Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, beautifully positioned against the slopes of Table Mountain.

We'll get together and head to a restaurant for our welcome dinner this evening. African food is traditionally shared and enjoyed with family and friends, and tonight's meal is no exception. Feel the heartbeat of Africa with our pre-dinner interactive djembe drumming session, then enjoy your meal, which is served in generous individual and shared portions. Each dish is brought to your table with country of origin, cooking techniques and spicing explained - a real experience! B,D

Day 4 - Cape Town - at leisure

Today has been left free for you to explore Cape Town at your own pace. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront has sweeping views of the ocean, harbour, city bowl and Table Mountain, and is the perfect place to relax with many excellent restaurants and attractions. We also offer two optional excursions today - a morning tour of Cape Town's oldest black township, and an afternoon visit to the Western Cape Winelands region where we'll visit the Spice Route and enjoy tastings as we discover local artisan crafts. Finally, we'll take a walking tour of Stellenbosch, then head to a local farm for a tasting. We'll return to Cape Town this evening. B

Day 5 - Cape Town - Oudtshoorn

If weather conditions are favourable, you'll have the opportunity to ascend Table Mountain on a thrilling cable-car ride this morning. Next, there's a scenic drive to look forward to via Route 62 to Oudtshoorn. An afternoon visit to an ostrich farm will give you the opportunity to admire and possibly hand-feed these curious-looking creatures. B,D

Day 6 - Oudtshoorn - Knysna

Our first stop today will be at the impressive Cango Caves, where we'll descend into an underground world of limestone caverns, stalactites and stalagmites sculptured by nature over millions of years.

Next we head to Knysna, a town at the heart of the Garden Route which nestles on the shores of a beautiful lagoon and is surrounded by ancient forests. After checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure. B

Day 7 - Knysna - at leisure

You are free to explore Knysna at your own pace today. You could perhaps explore the town's boutiques and shops with your travelling companions or maybe take in the views from the heads - two huge cliffs lying at the mouth of the lagoon.
Alternatively, you could join our optional excursion to Featherbed Nature Reserve. We'll take a ferry across the Knysna Lagoon and admire spectacular scenery as we drive onto the reserve. A Specialist Guide will tell us all about the region's flora and fauna, and we'll take a walk through the coastal forest to see ancient sea caves. After working up an appetite we'll be ready for our included buffet lunch, which is served at a beautiful outdoor restaurant under a canopy of Milkwood trees. B

Day 8 - Knysna - Johannesburg

We will say goodbye to Knysna this morning and drive along the spectacular Garden Route to Port Elizabeth. Along the way, we'll stop at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park, where you can walk across the 77-metre-long suspension bridge that crosses the water as it flows into the ocean.

When we arrive in Port Elizabeth, we'll head to the airport and fly to Johannesburg. B,D

Day 9 - Panorama Route

The Panorama Route weaves its way through some of the most stunning scenery in South Africa – the rainforest at God's Window, Bourke's Luck potholes and Blyde Canyon are just some of the highlights. It's also our route to Mpumalanga, the gateway to the iconic Kruger National Park. B,D

Day 10 - Kruger National Park

Wake up to the incredible sounds of the African bush as you embark on a thrilling full-day game drive in Kruger. The park is home to an enthralling array of wildlife, so hopefully you'll tick off at least some, if not all, of the 'Big Five' – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
On your return, there's time to relax by the pool with a refreshing drink later this afternoon. B,D

Day 11 - Kruger National Park

There's more time at leisure today, with game drives on offer if you want to see more of your thrilling surroundings and the resident wildlife. Alternatively, we also offer an optional excursion to Chimp Eden, the Jane Goodall Institute, which gives an insight into these beautiful creatures.

Tonight, if the weather is on our side, we'll get to know one of South Africa's oldest traditions for dinner - the Boma. The lodge proudly features this amazing outdoor dining facility in the traditional South African shape – round and protective like an African village. There's a centralised fireplace for ambience and winter warmth and a chef's station for preparing those famous African barbecue meals. B,D

Day 12 - Kruger Nartional Park - at leisure

After a leisurely start to the day, you're free to explore more of your surroundings before we make our way back to Johannesburg. B

Day 13 - Johannesburg - UK

Enjoy a day at leisure before your overnight flight back to the UK. B

Day 14 - UK

Arrive in the UK today. Upon arrival, either make your own way home or your Just You Private Chauffeur Service will be waiting for the journey home (if you've pre-booked).
