Today you'll fly to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, where we'll transfer you to your hotel. It is set in a great location in the heart of the city, so the cobbled lanes and Baroque architecture of the UNESCO-listed Old Town are within easy reach.
Get to know your travelling companions over a welcome drink before dinner this evening..
Day 2 - Christmas Eve - Prague
Known as the 'Golden City', Prague boasts a stunning array of impressive architecture, a rich history and fascinating traditions. Its centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, and that's what we're going to do this morning.
Highlights of our sightseeing tour include the famous Wenceslas Square, the National Museum, Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter and the 14th century Charles Bridge, which crosses the Vltava River.
During a free afternoon you might choose to sample a beer or two with your travelling companions. Czech beer is world famous, and you'll find a huge choice of breweries and brewpubs in Prague.
Day 3 - CHhristmas Day - Kutna Hora
It's Christmas Day and we're going to head to the UNESCO-listed town of Kutna Hora, where we'll enjoy a festive lunch. On a tour we'll see its remarkable ossuary - a cemetery chapel decorated with bones - and we'll also visit the gothic St Barbara's Cathedral, which is one of the most spectacular in the country. Other historic sites include the town's old silver mines to learn about the mining here of this precious metal.
This evening, we gather to enjoy dinner, which comes in the shape of a Czech beer party with food, live music and, of course, beer!
Day 4 - Boxing Day - Prague
You can spend today just as you please, relaxing at your hotel or exploring the city at your own pace.
However, if you'd like to discover more, we also offer an optional excursion to Karlstejn Castle, perched on a hill and surrounded by dense forests. Built by Charles IV from 1348 to 1357, its role was to protect the crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire. Inside we'll see a replica of St Wenceslas' crown and visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross to see more than 100 panel paintings by the king's court painter.
Day 5 - Prague
During a free day, you're sure to want to head back into Prague and make your own discoveries. Perhaps you'll choose to visit the National Memorial at Vitkov, which looks out over the city, or return to the Old Town and Wenceslas Square. As well as exceptional architecture, you'll also find many restaurants, bars and shops here.
Back at the hotel, we'll gather this evening for a farewell get-together.
