What’s in a name?

Well, Travel 55 was originally conceived after we had dipped our toe, so to speak, into the world of the internet with an online lifestyle magazine. The travel section became so popular and the first of our tour operators joined us. It soon became apparent to us that the natural direction for us to take was down the travel/holiday route, so Travel 55 was born, providing holidays for all across a whole and diverse range of destinations. Now eleven years have gone by from the original website that was designed and built by ourselves, to the sleek and dynamic one you now see.

Who we are.

We are a UK based family run business that takes a pride in the service we provide for our Travel 55 visitors. We have been trading for over 11 years on the World Wide Web and over those 11 years we have grown enormously (and still are). Travel 55 offers you, the traveller, the chance to find a holiday, tour or short break, whether it is close to home or to a far flung destination, from some of the top travel providers in the UK. Most of the tours on our website are offered at a discount, but they all are great value for money. Even for non UK residents the service we offer is available to you too.

The future.

We are always looking to expand our portfolio of operators in order that we can offer our customers the widest selection to choose from. We firmly believe that having the ability to search for different holidays from different operators all in one place allows you to find the best holiday for you – of course it also helps that we offer a discount on most tours.

Community.

A new and dynamic way for us to provide a greater service to you our visitor is our Community section where you can read holiday destination guides, and up to the minute travel news. We would also like you to send us holiday snaps and your own thoughts on any destinations we feature that you have travelled to, sharing your thoughts with fellow travellers.

As time goes by it is our intention that this section of Travel 55 grows and has added to it new and exciting ideas for all to share in.
